Hi Guys,

In the past I owned Ableton 8 which no longer works in Windows 10 anyway ..

But in the main I have always been Sonar right back to DOS days.

I am just wondering if peeps here could tell me is the Matrix View any where near the Ableton Session view in functionality? Will it ever be? Can one emulate Ableton Session View in Sonar in any way?

I haven't used the Matrix View in Sonar but Ableton is so complex, you would have to be pretty specific. I'm sure Matrix View can start clips for instance. What else are you looking for?

Thanks Sanderxpander .. interestingly after a search here I found this thread which has a discussion on this topic:

It looks like the Matrix view needs alot of love relative to other solutions in other software. Apparently it has been around in Sonar since 2008 and has not changed much over the years since then.

You can upgrade to Live 9 right now at 25% off.  Session View is like a sketch pad or creating jam tracks for me.

I also yearn for an improved and more flexible Matrix view.
