I use auto punch all the time, from dropping in words to recording entire verses, without incident...I tend to doubt that auto punch itself is the problem.

I'm assuming none of the clips are groove clips...

I too use auto punch all the time. No they're not groove clips and it's definitely happening only with auto punch. Most annoying... because of course I'm trying to finish up a project right now.

That's a crazy one...

Sorry I have no suggestions, but I want to try auto punch when next I am in my studio and I'm curious whether I can reproduce this.

Just to confirm:

1) It really does get progressively worse? It's not just a fixed offset? (48k/44k1 = 1.09, roughly 10% slip)

2) Everything was recorded with the same setup? Or were some tracks delivered from another studio?

1. I don't know for sure that it gets progressively worse. But it's only with auto punch that it happens. So I don't think that it's an offset problem. The slippage is probably around a 16th- 32nd note. However much the amount is it makes the vocalist (me) sound like I haven't got a rhythmic bone in my body. And I'm not being picky either.
2. Yes everything is exactly the same setup. No importing or anything like that.

Oh and I tried opening a new project and everything synced just fine in the new project.

Looks like the original project is corrupt for some reason. I would suggest importing everything to a new project just to finish it instead of troubleshooting and send the corrupt project to Cakewalk support.

Do you have a plug-in with lots of latency in there somewhere? Trying hitting "E" to bypass all effects and see what happens, then turn PDC on and off again, and see what happens.

Sorry I've been out of pocket the last few days I will try this and let you know. And thanks for the suggestion.
