There's a 1.089 driver available for fireface:
http://www.rme-audio.de/en/downloads/driver/uc.php

.. and a firmware update below it.

Geforce drivers here:
http://www.geforce.co.uk/drivers

Clean/custom install, avoid installing the audio drivers.

Cheers..

Thanks, Doktor Avalance. I'm using that, despite my signature.

Including the firmware update, and the geforce driver?
Might be worth updating your sig, might save some time :)

What happens if you increase the latency? Just grabbing at straws here, but sometimes straws work.

That's a GREAT line man.

Straws have kept me afloat any number of times.

I increased latency to the max (2048 samples) because the ticks sounded a little like what happens when the system is struggling.

Unfortunately, no joy.

Are the ticks registering a high level on the meters?  Further, if you render the vocal sync region, do the ticks/noises go away?

Maybe not related, but I recently posted a thread with a vocalsync issue which was not resolved, but my workaround was to reverse the guide track and harmony track.  Instead of starting with vocalsync on the harmony track, and using the lead vocal track as the guide, I started with vocalsync on the lead vocal track, and used the harmony track as the guide.  This workaround worked for me, but I only had one harmony track.

Probably not helpful,

when that update (with vocal align) came out i found out pretty quick that I needed to turn off the effects bin and any sends on the reference track.  Other then that I find it hit and miss.  On one doubled vocal a few days ago.  When I dialed up the dial, it made it more OUT of line.  ??  and no most of the time live preview does not sound good have to render and then undo if not right.

If it's not too off-topic and, seeing the unconventional thing I did, not sure if it's an error: I had an issue where the guide-track was just a bass drum track from a multi tracked kit. The track I was using VSync on was a vocal track. I wanted to see the BD transients next to the vocal waveform. It didn't show the BD guide-track. All is got was the vocal on both top & lower halves of the VSync display.
The guide & vocal were in different folders. As I am not in front of my daw I cannot reproduce now...I'm pretty sure I had nothing else 'muddled up'. If I don't forget I'll give it another try next time I'm in the studio.
