let's say I want to copy an audio clip that is in track 1 to track 2, replacing the clip in track 2.
Track 2 has clip automation that I want preserved.
In other words, I want to copy the clip in track 1 to track 2 but preserve the clip automation already in track 2.
 
Any ideas how to do this?
 
I tried "Copy Special" and "Paste Special" but could not get it to work. The clip automation always disappears.
