Hi guys, Win 7 64 bit version of professional.
I just bought Sonar pro today, digital, I used CWPA9 foor years back in the early 2000's.
Anyway I'm feeling the noob again.
Just installed everything today and I get this " api-ms-win-crt-runtime-1|1-1-0.dll" is missing from your computer, try reinstalling SONARPRO to do this. I tried reinstall, no good. Same ding and notification.
I realised my version of win 7 didn't have service pack 1 on, I first updated every driver, then did SP1 then one more "Update that updated the update system of windows. Here's where things went bad.

I'm cooked for the day so I thought I'd just put this out there and see if anyone can help and check later on after some sleep.
I've looked online, none of those things really relate directly to my issue to my level of understanding and all my pc does now is SEARCH FOREVER when I ask it to look for updates.
I feel like nuking and starting again... lol

what I would try is re-installing the Microsoft Visual Studio 2015 update individually from Microsoft here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145

Yes - an update from Visual C++ fails. Update KB2999226
(Microsoft Visual Studio 2015)
This was part from a windows 7 update.

This will get you the missing dll. Updating Windows should also do the trick.

ReInstall Microsoft Visual Studio 2015 update
Reboot
Still no luck starting app, but Sonar logo came up briefly. That was new.
Reinstall Sonar

Glad it worked for you! You might consider upgrading to Windows 10. It's free and if you don't like it, you have 30 days to roll back. SONAR definitely seems snappier with W10...or maybe it's the Baker's optimizations...either way it's been solid for me.
 
[Note: I needed to update an old laptop that still has Vista. It took several hours to downloading about 200 MB of files over a fast broadband connection...I suspect W7 might suffer the same fate before too long.]
