Hey Guys,
I have a weird thing I am trying to understand in Sonar.
recently, I was trying to record audio from one plug in to an audio track using patch points
- Synth tracks is all good - audio coming out
- patch point is all good, audio passing through (though its a double of the synth track)
- Waveform option on the audio track shows the waveform of the audio passing through the track
but
- when I record, I see the red waveform for track but as soon as I hit stop it disappears !
- there is nothing on the take lane or main track - it just disappears as if it was never there.
what I found by playing around was to disable the "exclude Synth inputs" option in the Project->record preferences in the section "allow arm changes during record/playback"
as soon as I did that everything worked as expected.\\now the weird thing is that I wasn't toggling the record settings during record or playback; instead I was setting record on while the transport was stopped then hitting the R key to start recording.
another thing I noted was that if I was viewing the "media" tab, I would see a list of files created by the tracks I was trying to record and the number incrementing but the files disappearing as soon as I hit stop... ie
SEM mix, Rec (145) So, is this a bug or expected behaviour ??
