Just got off of the phone with support and was told that SONAR needs to be "Run As Admin" in order for it to not run in Demo Mode - which is just NOT true! I've been using SONAR for years upon years under Standard User accounts. VERY FRUSTRATING INDEED!!!!!!!!! PLEASE FIX, CAKEWALK!!!!!

The workaround I found was that launching from the Command Center allows full control, but this does not help me as I cannot have everyone who does sessions for me able to tinker around with all of the system settings.

You can goto the Sonar directory and right click on the exe file for its properties. There you can adjust its security settings.

OP  Just wanted to update everyone that it looks like Noel and the team have rectified my triggered demo problem.
I haven't had an incident since. Thank you all for your continued magnificent support. You set the bar for the rest to aspire to. Forum hosts please mark this as Solved

I suggest you contact Noel or Keith at Cakewalk and report the issue if you haven't already done so.....they are great to work with, and they were able to fix my problem........I am sure they can do something for you. The most important part is to communicate so they can.

I'm having a similar problem.  I upgraded to the newest Platinum version this morning & it's stuck in demo mode.  Offline activation isn't working anymore.  My pc isn't connected to the web so if I didn't have X3 still installed I'd have some pretty unhappy clients today.  I tried to contact tech support & I get this from cakewalk:

The Internet is Broken

Well at least our little corner of it is.

A simple reboot seems to have fixed my issue.  It appears to be activated again.

I have attempted to contact Cakewalk via a Technical Support Request almost two weeks ago and have not had a reply. Again, insight into your solution may be helpful.

I ran into this problem yesterday. I logged into CCC and restarted Sonar from there and the issue was fixed, but I am slightly concerned that it may happen at a gig where I do not have internet access. It would be great to get some idea as to what causes this.
