I have an 18 track project going. Setting up my dual pan pots ala Mr. Anderton, I insert 9 Channel Tools plugs. When I insert the 10th (no matter which track) it does what the pic shows. No clue why. Anyone seen this?

The top Channel Tools is on a stereo track
The bottom one is on a mono track

Thanks, sir. But, it isn't now, and I get the same result.

So it seems Channel Tools doesn't recognize a mono track Sonar converts to stereo as stereo.

I added a new audio track. Inserted CT. Then copied the track I converted and inserted in the new track. Works as stereo now. Onward, though it makes no sense that the old track's CT won't see the same clip as stereo that the new track will.

There is a reason Channel Tools disables certain functions while processing mono. I do not believe it makes sense to fake out the plug-in. Mono channels already pan and cannot take advantage of M/S processing or any feature relying on the left and right channel being different.

The stereo placement is diferent with the way Sonar pan handles audio compared to the way Pro Tools style pan does. That's why Mr. Anderton made the tip he did. I needed to be able to move all the audio, not just the placement of the pan.

have you tried turning your Stereo Interleave on ?
its the button in console view that has 2 circles (looks like the mastercard symbol)

you might be able to make is sound half decent by doing this.
