when i use rapture and turn on the limiter, quite often i still get clipping in the audio track.  i've noticed this is when there are delays or reverb in the rapture module.  wondering if anyone knows if rapture just limits the voices or the fx as well.

It is a hard limiter on the master output.

what host are you using?  Live will sometimes show a track is clipping when it is actually not...

I am not a fan of the Rapture limiter. I don't like what it does to the sound. It squeezes it a bit IMO. Turn it off. Rapture also sends a pretty hot signal level. I find just turning the main master level down works a treat and the level still coming into the DAW track is good and not clipping anywhere. That master level is stored on a per preset basis as well.

using sonar. shows clipping a lot even when the limiter is on.  this is especially evident when using delays in programs.  my thought was the limiter is hitting the original signal but as the delays compound and overlap the limiter misses them.
