At the moment, the only way to save Bus Templates is by selecting buses along with tracks when you do "save as track template".
 
This means you can use a workaround by having a blank regular track in your template, which you delete once you've added the buses, but it would be nice to be able to select just buses.

Yes. I agree with this. It'd save deleting the dummy track if nothing else.
