Hangdog Cat
The waveforms are missing from my audio tracks.

I did the whole recompute pictures thing, and I deleted all files in the Picture Cache folder. No go. The tracks show as "busy."

So I read through some older posts on this topic, and learned that I should check the Preference/Devices, only to then discover that the digital drivers in my audio interface (RME Fireface UFX) are missing. In an effort to remedy this I exited Sonar, turned the UFX off, unplugged it from the computer, plugged it back in, turned it back on, and re-started Sonar. Still no digital drivers.

I updated the UFX driver a few weeks ago, just after I upgraded to W10. I suspect one or both of those may be a factor. Next step is probably to reinstall the UFX driver.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks.

Problem solved!

Under Preferences/File/Audio Data, the Picture Folder location was set to a full disk drive. Hence Sonar could not write to it.

When I upgraded to W10, the drive names on my system all got changed (except the C drive). So I ended up telling Sonar to look for the Picture Cache in what was now the wrong place, and a full place at that.
