I understand the signal path pretty well... So I'm not having an issue regarding this...
I'm just trying to re-confirm my understanding of the controls...
It would be very difficult to accept that the threshold control alters volume as well as sets the trigger point (threshold) desired... I still believe the ceiling control is where this is determined.
If I set the ceiling to -0.03 I should get that is a brickwall that the output of the limiter does not allow signal to pass. Then the limiter is determining the needed ratio to make this happen as well as rate-of-change either auto or custom setting...
If I set the ceiling at -0.30, I should get a much lower output which would also have lighter compression still happening at the input threshold?
