I had a Novation Supernova for many years, and still have an Ultranova. Despite having tried 4 major updates of Automap over many years, sadly I have never even gotten close to satisfactory results from the Ultranova as a controller in Sonar. It would be brilliant news if a new version actually worked, but I am not holding my breath. Luckily both served me well with great sounds until Vsti's caught up:)
 
The ultranova is about 5 years old now though of course - newer hardware may work just fine.
 
As rivers 88 said the Faderport works really well, as do the Roland A-Pro keyboard controllers which were designed to be used in Sonar - and they are pretty damned good for the price!
