Thanks Craig...

Looking forward to it all...

I wanted to try the wha and hadn't had the opportunity yet, but I see a short wait will make it easy...

So is that "wah" like "Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! I'm whinging!" Because it seems like it could dramatically simplify forum posting if you can simply specify a frequency and intensity of whine to automatically post to the CW forums :)

With the early access release of 2016.03 shouldn't the eZine be released with it. If not I expect the "New Features" section in the help is the only way to know what is in the early release.

AFAIK the eZine gets released with the public release. It gets tweaked until the very last minute; typically CW gets the final version a few hours before the final software ships. Think of it this way: When you get a mastered CD for one final listen, it probably doesn't have the final cover artwork.

I don't want to sound like I'm complaining so don't take this the wrong way, but it's basically up to me to put together the eZine, and it has more editorial pages than many "real" magazines, which have a 60/40 ad-to-edit ratio. So the eZine is more like a 65-page magazine you'd get on the newsstand (I know the math doesn't add up, but in a commercial magazine, any white space would be occupied by ads).

It's not just a lot of effort to put it together and write new material, but it also takes significant effort to lay out and proof. The eZine could always go out earlier, but then it might have some errors..magazines are software, too . If there's the option to keep tweaking it until the release to get it perfect...why not? Yesterday I made a tweak in the instructions for the tempo detection; it wasn't wrong per se, but it included an action that it turned out wasn't needed. So it was removed.

There's probably still a misplaced comma or something in there somewhere, but I think the eZines have been remarkably free of errors. I'm probably too picky about it, after all no one cares about it a month later

But then people will argue about whether it should have been white whine or red whine. And some would have said it should have been rose whine...and still others would say whine sucks, why wasn't it beer?

It's late, and actually right about now I'm ready for a gin and tonic...Tanqueray, please.

Understood. CW modified the early access announcement providing some details about the new features.

Some people complained about the eZine being released early, and some people speculated on things that were said without having the program in hand, so I assume Cakewalk figured it wasn't worth the trouble. I expect it will be released concurrently with the update.

MANY people complained about the new features before they were ever available.

But now we are complaining about the e-zine before it is even available.  Sixes.

I am trying to find that sentence of Craig containing those 4 complains to post again.

I do understand Mr Andertons predicament, however I think any sort of public release without documentation available is a mistake.

Easy solution for me is to ignore it and wait for full release.

Congrats, Craig! Back in the day, this is what we used to call, "a good problem to have." When everyone is agitating for your product, you know you're doing something right.

The public release does have the eZine. I believe early access has the online help. Early access is an "as is" release for those who want it. It is not intended to replace the official public release.
