  • I right click in the empty space of the synth rack expecting an insert synth menu.

Agree. It's an odd omission.

Thank you for posting.

I thought I was going more mad than usual. I have noticed myself doing this automatically, and thought I must have been mistaken, so used the plus sign.

After doing this repeatedly, I thought I was losing the plot. That's the problem, when I come across an issue, I automatically tend to assume that it is user error.. 😉

99 times out of 100 I am right.

I hope the Bakers overhaul the synth rack soon - there's a number of issues piling up.

Has anyone compiled a detailed list?

I don't know about a list of issues with the synth rack.  I have no problem with it. I do use it all the time. its my favorite way to load a synth. In fact I have used it ever since CW added it as a feature. My only issue with it and I have long since gotten over it was when it was made part of the browser.

I think they do that so they could get a good laugh in the lunch room via that analytics data.
"Look, he did it again!"
"Oh and look, he added a track the old way"

"Obsolete!" "Obsolete!"

Still.

And you prefer this over the more intuitive plus button on the synth rack toolbar why?

If that was a serious query Noel, It's just muscle memory. Brain and fingers, from inserting effects over and over via right click. Which I am used to from days gone by. Like a gorilla that used to push the yellow button to get a banana.

No biggie.
