I am new to Sonar so I may not fully understand what you are asking but you can get some auto-tuning like effects by using V-Vocal.

Record (or import) a mono track, like a vocal. Convert it to a v-vocal track. On my default setup, it is a button that appears when I select the track that has audio in it. This should bring up v-vocal with your track loaded.

You can play with it an manipulate the audio until it sounds like what you want. I have done it but can't remember off the top of my head how to. There is a video on youtube where the guy shows you how to do it.

Good luck!

I've don't have Auto-Tune, but does it not work like other VSTs?
What happens if you just insert it in the FX bin like one does with Melodyne Plugin?
No manual or help file??

Maximumpower - the OP obviously has Auto-Tune, so that's what he wants to use.

I have Antares Autotune EFX, which is a separate product that I purchased from Antares.   It is used as a VST "effect" in a track.  The V-Vocal is the only built in autotune type process, but it is not "Antares Autotune".

I like to use Melodyne as a clip effect (rather than a track effect) and then I render it as soon as I am done tuning and delete the instance of Melodyne before I go back to general work.

Do people use Autotune the same way?

best regards,
mike

Excellent, constructive first post answering a five years old thread

I'm always surprised and amazed when people can find these old threads with very specific topics, given the number of times people have asked why they can never find older threads about specific topics.
