Hi all,

I've had this problem a few times now and I have yet to figure out the cause or a definite solution. When I plug a MIDI keyboard in to my PC via USB, all is good until I start Sonar. Before the project load screen even shows, the keyboard stops making sounds. Once I load a project with an Addictive Keys MIDI track, I can get audio back, but only through the PC - local playback on the keyboard never returns.

Note that Local Control is not configurable on my keyboard, and is hard coded on.

I suspect something with my MIDI settings or VST plugin settings, but I just can't figure out what it is.

Some additional details:
Sonar Platinum 21.13.00
Windows 10
Yamaha P-45

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks
Mike

Almost certainly important, and I forgot to mention, when I open a project, I get a popup that says:

The following tracks and busses are currently assigned to silent hardware output. The items listed below will be silent in your project until their outputs are reassigned to an appropriate hardware output.

AK2: Grand Piano

OK, I am a goof, I was looking for the option to send output to the Digital Piano on the Addictive Keys track, but it's on the MIDI track. I can now send output to either AK or the piano.

Problem solved.

Sonar sends a "local off" signal to connected midi devices. I think you can configure that somewhere in preferences.
