I tore down my VST scan folders to troubleshoot a project that would not load without crashing.
I got the project to load but it always says it can't find Rapture Session upon file load and that synth is in parens () in the synth rack. I tried reinstalling Splat from the download folder but that didn't fix it.

Any ideas?

Rapture Session is not in the Platinum installer. It has a separate installer. Does the Rapture Session work in a new project?

Hi. Do you use Vst2 only? If not, Vst3 installs by default (I think) to C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3. There is also a setting to allow Vst2 to be substituted with vst3. It is in Preferences, File, Vst Settings. Sorry if this is obvious.
All the best.

Oh that's right. I found the installer and am reinstalling now.

And, that didn't fix it.

I can add another instance in the synth rack but upon launching the GUI I am presented with a series of "IDS_BITMAP_NOT_FOUND_MESSAGE" dialogs and after those, a blank black rapture session window.

So it's horked pretty good. :-)

** Edit: The stand alone Rapture Session launches from it's desktop icon, just not the VSTi.
