I'm trying to drag and drop files [midi, wav's etc] into sonar professional, however, it does not allow it.  I have tried changing the UAC and also starting in administrator mode but still does not work.

Are you trying to drag the files to a track in a project...or are you just trying to drag them to SONAR with no project open?

In X3, it seems to work within SONAR's own Media Browser into a track in a project...but not if you're trying to drag from, say, Windows Explorer.

I've tried dragging to a track and within a blank project, neither seems to work only it's own browser works.

If you're talking about dragging from the desktop it's because of running in administrator mode. This is a known Windows issue that affects other programs as well. This used to bother me as well until I started saving custom content locations in the Browser, which I find overall to be much more efficient anyway.

Craig, do you you have a shortcut in the Sonar browser, or do you just navigate up and down the directory structure?
