  • Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 achievable round trip latency?

To anyone who has a Scarlett 2i2 and has put it through it's paces, are these things capable of running at or below 10ms total round trip latency? Note: Direct monitoring is essentially useless for me as I'm very reliant on amp sims and such.

On a side note, how does guitar and bass sound through this thing? I want the most uncolored/accurate signal I can get as I like to do my "coloring" in the box.

Thanks

I am interested in this exact information as well.

I bought a 2i2 a few months ago.  I haven't measured the latency, but it's not noticeable at all on my system.

Although this is an almost 4 year old thread (still relevant), I only found this list of RTL on some popular Audio Interfaces (2i4 being the closest to the 2i2).

Not sure about the actual RTL on the 2i2, but on my system the 2i4 achieves 10ms RTL (I haven't messed with the buffer size lately as there's never been a need to).

If my signature from computing perspective will be close to OP and other posters in this thread signatures, I will try get something better then 2i2 since there are too many e-guitar compatibility problem reports (2i4 is better in the respect).

I have nothing against that interface in general, I use 2x 2i2 at work in conference systems. Absolutely stable, compatible (Win, Mac, Linux) and not noisy.
