Hello all!

I love TH3 and I love playing guitar. I have long used my GR20 pedal to gain control of Wah pedals or volume etc, but I can't turn on and off stomp boxes etc with it.

Also, I would love to have independent control of the guitar sounds from the synth sounds.

I have begun to shop, but I'm struggling with my choices.

$329

$179

$149 - I think this is the one I would need. It has the expression pedals etc. I guess I would expect more choices like this one.

I'd love input from someone who uses one to control a midi controller with an Amp Simulator.

This one looks cool, but designed for line 6 only? I can't use it with TH3?

And of course the GR-55
$700ish. I think the GR55 looks awesome, but I don't really need the amp sims. I'm a little torn on it. It looks cool and would give me the midi stuff too, but I'd need to split the out of my GK3 pickup. I don't know.

I'd go for that one. Don't let the Behringer name put you off,  have a read around of some user reviews etc, it's a pretty tough unit, I have a couple of these, although I use my old Zoom GFX8 most of the time, but that's just a size thing.

Thanks, Richard. I was hesitating on that.

Interestingly, TH3 demos the same Behringer you were mentioning.

It does have a very good reputation around the place, of course you could find bad reports. With some of the earlier versions there were firmware bugs or maybe limitations might be a better way to put it, which there are 3rd party firmware updates to fix/enhance the out of the box firmware, I am not sure whether this changed in latter versions or not, or whether it would affect all users or just specific situations. I have one standard and one modded and I have no issues with either, and both do what I need without issue.

I like it for the 2 pedals (among other things), saves having separate units for switches and pedals. I guess if you have a pedal/pedals already pretty much any unit would do as long as it matched your requirements.

Don't overlook the Yamaha MFC10. That's what I use, although I haven't tried it with TH3. I use it with Live. I like the GR 55, but I don't think it'll work as a foot controller - unless you don't need many switches ...
