I have been mostly using CbB  Cakelab but I cannot get just this one VST XPnad 2 tyo be recognized.
It works just fine in Platinium and HOme Studio.

I copied the exact same pathways that Splat uses.
I re installed Xpand and noted the pathways
I have tried everything I am aware of. Idea's?

Maybe it landed in the CbB excluded list. If so, re-scan failed plug-ins.
Could compare logs from the different scans. Create logs by holding the shift key while clicking scan.
Compare the VST Inventory record from each DAW. Each DAW has a separate VST Inventory in the registry. In fact all three should have identical entries for the plug-in. Al least, I do not believe anything new has been added to VST records since CbB was introduced.

Thanks Steve,
yes I have the re scan failed plug ins checked.
Must have re scanned over a dozen times now as I add different pathways.
There is nothing on the VST Excluded inventory list.
People like me generally stay away from the deep bowels of my computer OS these day's.
But might just attempt to look in the registry.

After a manual scan, make sure this and the other re-scan option are deselected. It is rarely necessary to enable these options and they are not intended to be left on. Logs can help when trying to solve plug-in problems.

I have Xpand2 working fine. Just asking, have you checked the ILok registration for it? I use the ILok computer registration program. I hate ILok but I got most all of the AIR instruments for little of nothing so I had to use it to access those and some Eventide FX.

I had a very strange install experience yesterday that resulted in the Studio Instrument Collection not being recognized. I'm going to write it up for a report to the devs, but it might help you.

BTW, I'm successfully running XPAND!2 and other AIR instruments.

I thought I saw it right there in the paths, but then I noticed that the path was all lower case in Settings, whereas the actual path was mixed case as in "Cakewalk" with a capital "C." When I deleted the all-lower-case path as shown in Settings and then added it back by browsing to it in the dialog, after which it was in proper mixed case, Cakewalk re-scanned and all the instruments showed up.

that's weird because windows filepaths (like internet URLs) are not case-sensitive, as far as windows is concerned C:\temp is the same as C:\TeMp, for example... seems like a string comparison bug maybe? (recently had to explain/tell a dev not to compare GUIDs this way )

I know, right? That's how I could stare straight at the paths in Settings and say to myself "but there it is, it's pointing to the correct directory!"

All I can say is that I deleted the entry, put it back in by browsing to it, and when it came back it was mixed-case and it worked.

For all I know it might not have been the case, it might have been missing a space or colon or comma or some other punctuation, but the case was what caught my eye.
