Wish when we "block" people their posts would just disappear...Clutter. Actually, a "hide" feature would be great...

Oh, c'mon guys. Such an obvious troll. One post?

Hi all.
First of all, the OP has only 1 post and he claimed that he has been with CW since version 7.
That should ring a bell.

Point taken. I missed the join date.

There seems to be a minor spate of driveby trolling, probably the same person each time, best to just ignore.

But clearly not in this case.

To the original poster - should you happen to take a read through this thread at some point -

1) Since you had a year's worth of Sonar under the new model, your installed Sonar will continue to be able to run at its current maintenance point for forever (or until some future OS maintenance renders it no longer operative), so you can still use Sonar as you please.

2) I would think that as noted by Craig in an earlier post to the thread, it is a good bet that the Cakewalk staff would be interested in some detail as to what your issues are with Sonar, and who knows, maybe there is a way to resolve those issues for you, so it may well benefit you (and others) for you to explain what those issues are.

3) This was the nicest goodbye thread I can recall seeing - in any case, best of it all to you :)

In the best tradition of tinfoil hat conspiracy theories, maybe a single troll created a bunch of accounts over the last year to use for drive-bys when needed?

I don't think he's a troll (I'm assuming it's a he). He's using a real email, is not hiding behind an anonymizing IP, and is giving props to the community instead of insulting it. Furthermore, the real "attention junkies" usually log in multiple times after their "goodbye" post, presumably to check in what they've stirred up. The OP logged in one hour after the initial post, and that was it. The apparent legitimacy is why I'm interested in the OP's opinion.

However, there are two known people here who have created various alts over the years, and pull them out from time to time when they want to fulminate about how I am an Agent of Satan, and that the community consists solely of intolerant fanbois who conspire with Cakewalk to suppress any negative comments about SONAR. Goes with the territory...the internet is open to the public, and no one is required to actually read forum content before commenting on it

Impossible.
Everyone knows all AsOS play in drop C, and nothing in you discography reflects that tuning

I own and use three different DAWS. Protools 10, Presonus and Cakewalk.
All are great in their own right and  have unique features. I am sure their are other  users on here with many more. If a user  wants to express his frustration that's his right but jumping up and down and saying  "he's  a troll or a big bad user of another DAW besides Sonar that wrong". Calkwalk said somewhere only a small amount of users are on the forum?
Live and let live it's about the music.

The problem is there have been a bunch of drive-by troll postings in the past (generally promoting Reaper) so people are naturally suspicious...once burned, twice shy. But the "I'm leaving" posts do seem kind of self-indulgent if they don't contribute anything, which is why I was hoping he would elaborate on his problem.

I've often stated that I use SONAR for multitrack projects, Ableton Live for live performance, and Studio One for album assembly. No one gets on my case about it.
