  • Platinum 32 bit install on 64 bit machine (not possible with Command Center?)

I just tried to install Sonar Platinum on a 64 bit win7 machine and didn't see any option to install the 32 bit version, which is what I want for this particular machine.  The Command Center just installed the 64 bit version automatically.

I was eventually able to get the 32 bit version onto the machine via download.  However, I'd still like the option of using the Command Center for installing plugins and updates.

Does anyone know if there's a way to choose which version of an application/plugin Command Center installs on a 64 bit machine?

I wanted to do this too and couldn't find a way, so went to my download page and did it from there (note that clicking your login name on Command Center takes you to your account and seems to log you in automatically, which is nice).

Thanks, yeah I was able to do the 32 bit install from download as well.  It seems like it should still be an option in Command Center or else it would make it unusable for a number of customers. I'm thinking this may be a bug/oversight. I did see another post regarding issues with attempted 32bit installs on a 64 bit machine

I submitted a ticket into support regarding the issue.  If I get back any helpful info, I'll post an update on this thread.

Where in downloads is the 32 bit version of Platinum?  All I see are updates, and a single .exe for each which I assume is x64.  Is x32 not available any more?

The installer contains both 32 and 64bit versions. Since the OP, a "Verbose Install" option was added to the Command Center settings page. This option runs the installer as if it were run from the command line and presents the 32/64 install option screen.
