I really love Pentagon I, but sometimes it makes me crash ASIO drivers with certain presets....maybe due to its DXi format?
But it's a very underrated softsynth, and I think that it needs a modern refresh.

It's possible to see a Pentagon II, as has happened for Z3TA+, in VSTi/AU format (I beleiev that many Mac users will enjoy that stuff)?
I'm hopeful :).

i would love a pentagon II as well, but i doubt it happens for a number of reasons. Pentagon was never as big as Z3ta so it will not be able to sale simply on it's name. Pentagon was one of RGC's earlier efforts and Z3ta and Rapture inherited parts of pentagon. With that being said, since Renee is no longer with Cakewalk, odds are any version of Pentagon would likely be in name only.

What exactly do you want to see in a Pentagon II? I think it's pretty mature and complete. It's not like there are that many obviously missing features, and the simplicity is in a way a selling point. That said, I wouldn't mind an update to the patch management system, a la Z2. I also wouldn't mind if they update the user samples. Currently the samples have to be in a pretty specific format. It would be nice if they could be stereo as z3ta+ uses. That way I could leverage the Architecture waves as well, or borrow some of the waveforms from the z3ta+ mods.
