Hey installed new tascam 20x20  with new windows 10 software and everything is working fine except being able to hear my instruments or vocals through headphones during recording.  I can hear pre-recorded tracks during recording but not my live input. If I engage the Echo button on the cakewalk track, I can hear it then, but it would seem that that should not be necessary.  Any Ideas? Except mc2= ???

A quick glance at the product description on the TASCAM site indicates there is "Low-latency monitoring via on-board DSP mixer." This would be what you need to use instead of monitoring through the DAW.

Hey, BSM.

I have a US-16x08. I would expect your Settings Panel to look similar to mine. I don't know if you've tried this, or not, or if it will even accomplish what your looking for, but you can check the routing on the OUTPUT SETTING tab and try the following:

Default:

I haven't checked that yet.  I would think it has to do w/ the mixer (if you look at the first or last software panel).  The analog inputs need to be patched, I believe, to the headphone outputs.  I'll try ot check it later today before I lose the studio for a few nights (it is a bedroom studio and a kid is back for thanksgiving).
