Also check your trigger settings on the V-drums kit ... it could well be that hitting the snare triggers toms and vice versa and thus causes all the extra MIDI notes which are not intended ghosts ... it depends on your set-up (e.g. pads could be mounted too close together) and your playing style
I would first check the trigger monitoring display on the v-drums module and see if you get additional triggers at low velocity when you hit a pad/cymbal (you might have them ever since but never heard them on the v-drums because the v-drums kits do a good job of hiding them) ...
If the kit set-up is all good and you still get them, you might have to adapt a different playing style ... or have these MIDI filters in place ...
