If the goal is to conserve CPU, you'll need to clone the track, Bounce to Clip(s) in the new track, and then Archive the original track. I've never tried cloning an Audiosnapped clip, but hopefully that works; otherwise you'll need to clone the track without the audio, and then bounce the Audiosnapped track to the cloned track without FX or automation.
If the goal were just to have a rendered version of the audio playing through the original track, you could bounce to a new, temporary track without FX or automation, and then drag the clip into a new lane in original track and solo that lane.
All that said, the CPU load of processing a single Audiosnapped track should not be that significant.
