Hi all,
How do I mixdown audiosnap properly? I want to free up CPU, if possible with possibility of returning to the audiosnap version with changed transients intact. I don't want to freeze the track because I want to keep effects editable. On older versions of Sonar I used to right-click clip -> Bounce to clip (but of course I couldn't go back to original audiosnap). Help would be appreciated.

If the goal is to conserve CPU, you'll need to clone the track, Bounce to Clip(s) in the new track, and then Archive the original track. I've never tried cloning an Audiosnapped clip, but hopefully that works; otherwise you'll need to clone the track without the audio, and then bounce the Audiosnapped track to the cloned track without FX or automation.

If the goal were just to have a rendered version of the audio playing through the original track, you could bounce to a new, temporary track without FX or automation, and then drag the clip into a new lane in original track and solo that lane.

All that said, the CPU load of processing a single Audiosnapped track should not be that significant.

Hi. You can also freeze the track, right click in the fx bin and untick bypass fx rack. This way you can still tweak your plugins.
All the best.

Thanks to both.  @Zargg71, good idea, I'll do that!

Duh. I didn't even think about Freezing though mentioned in the OP. Need more coffee, I guess.
