I'm a little confused.
I went to Preferences and tried to find the path for the 64-bit plugin, under Program Files.
When I added it, the path read, C:\Program Files\XLN Audio Files\Addictive Drums 2\

Not sure what to do....

Greg

So C:\Program Files\XLN Audio Files\Addictive Drums 2\ is where SONAR found the plugin through the Plugin Manager?

If so, you should be able to open up the XLN Online Installer, go to the Advanced tab, and in the VST64 path change it to C:\Program Files\XLN Audio Files\Addictive Drums 2\ since, if I understand correctly, that's where the .dll file lives.

I went to the XLN Online Installer and went to Advanced Tab.   On the left is says...
Addictive Drums 2
VST32
VST64

The path that says it's in C:\Program Files\XLN Audio Files\Addictive Drums 2\  is in the Addictive Drums 2.
When I click on VST32, it says, C:\Program Files (x86)\Steinberg\VSTPlugins\
And when I click on the 64-bit, nothing is there.  But it does begin with G:\ - my second hard drive.
Under the VST64, it says, Choose New Path...and, Set To Default.

Sorry to be taking up so much of your time.   I know there's a simple answer here, I just don't know what it is.
Thanks!
Greg

No worries!

Can you confirm that "Addictive Drums 2.dll" is actually in the C:\Program Files\XLN Audio Files\Addictive Drums 2\ folder as suggested in your recent post?  If so, all you need to do is go into the XLN Online Installer, click on the Advanced tab, and select "Choose New Path" in the VST64 tab.  Put C:\Program Files\XLN Audio Files\Addictive Drums 2\ as that new path.

I'd also suggest, after setting the new path for the 64-bit version, going into Windows Explorer, navigating to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steinberg\VSTPlugins\ and deleting the "Addictive Drums 2.dll" file in there. That way you'll only have the preferred 64-bit version available.

Once you're done with that bit of housekeeping, go back into SONAR's plugin manager, re-scan your plugins, and now it should only see the single 64-bit version of AD2, which is now properly linked to the right path.

I went to Start in Windows and typed in Addicted Drums 2, but there is no Addictive Drums 2.dill.  I can't find it.

Open up Windows Explorer.  In the search bar, type "Addictive Drums 2.dll" and it'll show you where they're located.

I did, and it says, "No Items Match Your Search."
I typed in Addictive Drums 2 (without the .dill), and it shows an AD2 plugin log and standalone log.   No .dill file.

What I meant to say was, I did type in Addictive Drums 2.dill, and it said No items match you're search.
Then I typed in without the .dill, and it said there was an Addictive Drums 2  plugin log and a standalone log.   So. I did type in AD2 and added the .dill.    But it says there's nothing there...

Sorry, been away from the computer this weekend.

Just to confirm, did you search for a ".dill" file or ".dll"?  ".dll" is what you're looking for.

My eyesight isn't what it used to be.   Lol.  Wow, do I feel stupid.
I will check it again.

Naw, easy to overlook if you aren't in the habit of digging around for such files, which you wouldn't have to do if things worked correctly from the get-go!
