Hi guys, I've been having this intermittent problem with sonar platinum (newburyport) crashing when closing a project. What happens is, I will hit ctrl s and save the project or sometimes just go to close the project and save when prompted, then the project starts to close down but sonar just hangs (whitescreen). I have to go into task manager and 'end task'. The I have to disconnect my audio interface (roland quad capture) and reconnect it again before opening Sonar. If I don't do this then when Sonar opens it says there are no devices connected. The project saves ok and sonar will then work fine. This doesn't happen everytime and it's totally random, it's not project specific. I'm running Sonar plat newburyport, on windows 10. Anybody got any ideas.
Thanks for your help guys,
Andrew

this is (~99% likely) a problem with sonar failing to drop the roland audio driver for whatever reason... sorry i don't actually have a solution for you, maybe there's more clues in the event log?

Thanks Man, I went into the evnt logs, I can't make head nor tails of them but I do see Slate digital fg116 mentioned. So maybe it's to do with the plugin. Strange I thought. cos I use it in all my projects and their fine, as I said this is not project specific.
Thanks again, I suppose I'll have to bear with it.

I've also had occasional saving issues - not exactly the same but possibly related? Here, occasionally, a project seems to become corrupt and saving brings up a 'General Error' popup, and sometimes the project file is actually erased, which is fairly terrifying. However, saving with a different file name seems to work and the newly created project file does not seem to be similarly corrupt, so all's well that ends well. Still, it's a bit nerve-wracking. I've doubled down on my backup habits since this behaviour appeared... even though it's quite rare.
