  • Cakewalk By Bandlab - Will it install both 32 and 64 bit VSTs?

I am running the installer now and it only asks me for one path for VSTs.
I have a separate folder for 32 and 64 bit VSTs so wondering what CBB installs so I can decide where to locate it.
Thanks

CbB is 64bit only. There are no 32bit plug-ins bundled with it.

Cakewalk by Bandlab includes Bitbridge, which is a mechanism that allows you to seamlessly use 32bit plugins.  You can also purchase a thing called Jbridge which provides an alternative if Bitbridge gives you issues.  Cakewalk by Bandlab allows you to select Jbridge for individual 32bit plugins if you wish.

After you have installed Cakewalk by Bandlab, you can add extra plugin scan paths (in Preferences | File | VST settings).  You could create a path just for 32bit plugins and include that path in your list of plugin paths.

Personalty, I would ditch as many 32bit plugins that you can and replace them with 64bit equivalents.  Your DAW stability will thank you for it.

Thanks, that's all I was after.
I only use 64 bit but some installers ask for a path to both so I keep them separate for some reason! :)
