SPLAT, recent upgrade, ( I forget the name), prolly not an upgrade problem as all has been somewhat well. Placed an AD2 track as always, but I have every 5th measure or so silent. I have tried other beats, and other kits, this is just weird. Nothing in the event lis that is strange, all the MIDI notes are there in PRV. The AD midi meter still jumps but the audio meter stops as does the drum sound from that particular track. All other tracks, analog and midi all are fine, just the AD2 track. Anybody seen this before? Any Ideas?

Ok, none of my old projects are affected, and this does not happen within a new project. I could redo the whole thing but I'd like to know what I did to make this happen so it doesn't happen again.

Try resaving the project with a new name, and, then open the new named project to see if the problem went away?

Raise the Prepare Using Buffer under Preferences > MIDI > Playback and Recording to 500ms if it's at the new default (since X1) of 250ms. If it's already there, try increasing it in increments of 50 or 100ms until the problem goes away.

The difference between the two projects may be tempo. Tempo and note placement can interact with the buffer size in a way that makes it necessary to raise the buffer even higher. I had one project that needed 550ms until I changed the tempo by .5 BPM. And sometimes just moving a single dropped note a tick or two will fix it.

250 is problematic for a lot of projects on a lot of systems regardless of tempo, and processing power does not seem to be a factor.

It's a long shot, but are you using a plug in that's in demo mode? They often disrupt sound at regular intervals.

Thanks guys! Twas indeed a plug in, not in demo mode, just an LPEQ, used it so much before without problems, but I trashed it and the drop outs stopped. Thanks so much for all your input!!
