  • [!!SOLVED!!]Sound cutting by changing windows with audio in windows10

After upgrading to windows 10, the problem is my Sonar sound engine always cuts totally out by playing f.ex. a youtube sound.
This never happened in earlier windows versions. I could always easily play along with other sound. But no more.
My sound device is Terratec DMX6FireUSB with Integrated ASIO driver for the audio mixer, upgraded to last version, including and supposedly working with Win10. Just a pity the mixer always opens up at startup now, instead of just being visible in the system tray. So now - How do I fix this kind of an issue, please?

Uncheck "Share Drivers With Other Programs" in Preferences > Audio > Playback and Recording

Thank you very much for your answer but sadly still the same thing whether it's checked or not. I open youtube and ASIO is playing, but at the very moment I'm starting a video to play the audio engine instantly drops all out.

Well, after many audio problems after installing WIN10 on upgraded computer I finally managed to solve this one too!
First of all, the correct driver is in EXE-file at

Next, I needed the very same sample rate on audio unit as in Sonar:
  • Right-click the sound icon in the taskbar, at the bottom right of the screen
  • Select Playback Devices from the menu.
  • Choose the current playback device as default (by-default, it’s set to speakers) and double-click on it to open its properties.
  • Go to Advanced tab and change the bit rate to 24bit/44100 Hz

Now, this did it all for me! :O)
