Hello,

I use Sonar x3 Producer.  Should I be able to record multiple inputs at the same time, i.e., my guitar player is looking to see if he can split his guitar output so we can record both a wet and dry version of his tracks.  Will Sonar x3 Producer let me do this?

Thanks!

Sonar will let you record on as many channels as your audio interface has discrete inputs (so looks like 5 for your Lexicon Lambda Pro Audio Interface). Naturally you would want to set up your Sonar tracks depending on whether you are recording 5 mono tracks or, say, 1 stereo and 3 mono, or ....

X3 and your interface are more than capable of doing this.  That you have X3 Producer and did not know this already says to me that you might want to play with the software and familiarize yourself a bit before trying to record someone else.

All doable and simple, but if you had to ask this question, then you will likely have more issues as you try to set up to actually do it.  Several of us folks will be here to help you, but I would play with it before you have your guitarist come over as responses to questions take time I am sure you guys would rather spend making music.
