How about a duplicate command?
Hit Ctrl+D and the selected clip(s) are duplicated at the end of the current selection (snap).
 
Edit: Over 300 views and only 9 votes? C'mon, it's currently an ummapped key combo. Even if you have never used it, you should vote for it, someday you might want to.

Just implement this the way everyone else does. It's a GoodThing(tm), people will use it if it's available, a lot.

yes please. Possible to do this with groove clip looping but a one-key solution that doesn't require converting the clip would be very handy - there are situations where a groove clip isn't suitable.
