Hey everybody!
I have a Roland Tri-Capture audio interface for my recordings and I am using Sonar LE x1 as DAW.
Recently, I started using virtual amplifier plugins through my DAW such as Guitar Rig 5 and Bias Fx.
The tones are actually really great but I only have one simple problem.
To hear the effects while I play the guitar parts in real time, I have to turn "Input Monitoring" off on my audio interface and turn "Input Echo" on in the recording track. So I can only hear the sound coming out of Sonar which puts several effects on the audio.
The sound I hear as I play is with effects. But the problem is when I turn off "Input Monitoring" and turn on "Input Echo", the sound I want to hear comes to my monitor 1 or 2 seconds later than I hit the strings. This causes some kind of problems such as I miss the beat or even if I am not recording, I cannot enjoy the pedals or amps I am using because the sound I hear is late!
There is no problem in recording without the effects and adding them after recording but I want to hear what I record as I PLAY it. I don't want to hear them afterwards.
Anyway, this is my problem and I would appreciate if you could come up with a solution to this. Thank you!
