Hi guys ,
I thought I would ask this here first ….on The P5  forum
I'm very happy I put P 5 on my windows 8 64 bit lap top …it runs great as a 32 bit stand alone app
when I did the install w my original disk I chose not to install the Dimension LE …
when I went to install the V2 update of P 5  somehow it wound up putting on the Dimension Le ...
now it could be me …in all the excitement
I might not of been paying close attention and missed the opportunity at the time to not install Dim Le ...
I'm under the impression that I have to uninstall the Dim Le first so I can put my licensed copy of Dimension Pro at 32 bit for P 5 to have access to one of my favorite synths Dim Pro ….
the over here rub is I have looked everywhere on my computer and I can't seem to find an uninstaller to uninstall the Dim Le
nothing shows up
does anybody know how I can uninstall the Dim Le so I can put my copy of Dimension Pro in it's place ?

Help ,

P5 didn't have Dim LE, it has the original Dimension synth that DimPro grew out of.  I would think it would be in the windows remove programs.  check there.  I don't think you would have any problems using DimPro but you'll probably have to install the 32 bit version along w/ 64 bit (if you use 64 bit for SONAR etc.).

Hi AT ,
I got it figured out and thanks for trying to help me out  …I appreciate it.
heres what was going on …when I installed P5 from my disk I opted out from installing the Dimension .
I remember from way back in the day from buying Dimension Pro that the regular Dimension had to be uninstalled first to be able to install Dimension Pro ...
when I updated to P5 V2 it installed the Dimension LE …I couldn't find an uninstall for it any where including the Windows add remove programs or C Cleaner ...
the only Dimension listing was for Dimension Pro 1.5 and the expansion packs ...
long story short ..I checked out my XP DAW that has been so stable and checked out P5 V 2
it turns out Dimension LE was on it w Dimension Pro and it played nice all these years
I dug out my old discs and installed the Dim Pro ….whew it seems to to working OK for D Pro V 1
I'm gonna have to see if I can update it ….
once again , thanks for stepping up and trying to help me

Good luck with it, Kenny.
A few years back, with some gentle nudging from yourself, I took advantage of an a-la-cart package offered with P5.2.5. I already had  Rapture, so I chose to get DimPro 1.5 at the time.
Well, my trusty XP machine died a few months ago. I figured P5 was gone, as the download link is no longer active.
But recently, I mounted my data drive from the XP machine in an external enclosure, and lo and behold, the P5.2.5 zip file is squirreled away in a backup folder on that drive, along with some other old favorites.
I'm going to install it when I get some free time.
Yeah, I know X3 has the matrix, but P5 is just kind of iconic, and I am looking forward to getting it running again.

Hi Robert,
Yeah I do remember back then when you were checking out P 5 ...
I  hope you get it up and running ….
I got it sorted out over here and I'm very happy about it
Yes ,I noticed that SONAR X 3 incorporated a lot of what I liked in P 5 …..

all the best ,

Kenny
