I know we can export to a different name, and maybe I've missed it.......but I can't find any way to rename my entire project.
Many times I've been working a project and after thinking it over I want to rename it.

Thanks for any help on this!

I just do it in the file system... also the assets file. Save as works too.

I have saved as a works...but wanted to go back to my original project and have forgotten the original name. :)
And I seem to do this every other project. I'll get halfway through and think the way the creation process is going it doesn't sound like what I named it anymore.

What is the assets file? And is that as easy as having a "rename project" feature? Thanks!

If you look in the folder, you can sort by date modified to find a project version you are interested in.

I know we can just save the project with a different name, but I consider renaming a project a very basic feature, so I voted.

Also to consider is if to rename project folder as well.

I find Save Copy To very useful for this purpose. I create a new folder, and select that as well - so all stuff is relevant names.

Then I open this copy and continue from there.

Just read about this idea in the Sonar forum.

I'd love the ability to rename the entire project from within Sonar.
This could (should) include the ability to rename or create the necessary Windows folders and to rename any associated audio tracks

Workarounds:

1 - Save As followed by (manual) delete

2 - For new projects (the case originally mentioned), create all new to-be-named projects with audio in the shared audio folder, then do a Save As with per project audio when you know the name

3 - Don't bother about it...save as and rename the cwp. So the audio folder might be named something different - that's SONAR's problem, not yours :-)

I don't need a workaround, I'd like a one click solution (+ naming)
