  • Can I install and operate both 32bit and 64bit versions of SONAR X3 on the same machine?

I'm experimenting, trying to solve an ASIO driver issue.

I started a thread about that, but thought this is a side issue and so maybe it needed a different thread.

I want to see if the ASIO soundcard drivers show up properly in 32bit but not 64bit, or vice versa.

Can I install and run both versions on the same Windows 7 PC?

You will want to clearly mark the desktop icons. Otherwise back when, a lot of us used to have both.

thanks, is there anything special to the install?

or is it simply choose the version I dont have and install it as usual?

That's it. When you first start the install that's more or less the first dialog box that will appear.

While you are at it, don't forget to check out the Reaper demo as another test for your ASIO drivers.

It's a small 9MB (32-bit) or 11MB (64-bit) download, and you don't have to sign up for anything.
