  • [Solved] mouse curser not showing up in Sonar

I was using Sonar X3, and all of a sudden a window pops up on the left side of the screen.   Not sure what it said, but it had something to do with the track I was using.   I couldn't get rid of it, so I had to click my mouse, and it went away.    However, the mouse curser became invisible.

I had to somehow get out of Sonar.   And when I did, my curser was fine.   So it's working in Windows, but not in Sonar.

Suggestions?

Thanks!
Greg

There is at least the possibility that somehow the mouse thinks you are typing, or that the system designed to hide the mouse while typing has been triggered and stuck. Maybe Sonar is stuck on expecting a text entry? Try going to mouse properties and unchecking the box on pointer options page under visibility that says: hide mouse pointer while typing. While you are at it uncheck automatically move pointer to the default button. Another possibility is that the mouse is stuck in a window that is behind the Sonar window and, although not visible has stolen focus from windows. You can try pressing the key combination alt + F4 which should close Sonar if it has the Windows focus and reveal what is behind it. If Sonar fails to close, then likely it does not have focus even though it is in the foreground. Alt + tab should show you a list of open programs. Holding alt and pressing tab repeatedly will cycle through the list. If the mystery window is a program it should have an icon on the taskbar, but if it is a window popped up by Sonar or another program it will not be so identified,

I went into Troubleshooting...devices...hardware in Windows.      It said it found a problem in Windows and corrected it.

Thanks for your help!
