Set one of the screensets to contain Track View only. Hit the appropriate number key to switch to this screenset.

Thank you for your responses.

I want a button on the control bar that immediately minimizes ALL dialogs covering the track view.

I do not want to have to hold a control key to temporarily use the invisibility cloak.

Screen set:  you are suggesting that any newly opened effects dialog will respond to the previously configured screenset?

I'm not sure what you mean by "respond to". Any newly opened GUIs in one screenset disappear when you switch to a different screenset and re-appear when you switch back (assuming that the screenset is not locked).

There are buttons on the toolbar for selecting screensets. I only suggested using keystrokes because I assumed that the toolbar might be obscured by the windows you are wishing to close.

I understand what you suggest about using a screenset.

But, this supposes I have not made any changes to the trackview in the current screenset.

I want to minimize all windows but the trackview in whatever screenset is currently displayed.
