Hi guys and girls, I see a new update has landed...nice, however, what I would like to know is when are we getting the updated Linear Phase EQ?  This for me looks like the next update that interests me.  I use the Linear Phase as my go to mastering correction EQ, and the integrated analyser would be great...if it's as accurate as Span by Voxengo set to high resolution.  It would be even better if it behaved the same way as the Pro Channel EQ set to pure, because the Pro Channel EQ set to pure is a fantastic mastering EQ-that's a tip too boys and girls.

I know this is not a feature request forum, however, I'd like to know why we still can't remove the Pro Channel EQ when not in use-it really annoys me...Aspergers.  Just a minor quibble.

Finally I'm not sure about this Lander thing...it's a little confusing, what does it do??  If it's an automated mastering service, I'm concerned-we've already got a bloated music paradigm, and this is all we need, another device to allow the talentless multitudes to peddle more crud as music.  Sorry, I try and keep the negativity down on this forum now...but as researcher...albeit still in trainee mode,it concerns me.  I'd prefer to teach mastering...one day I will get around to creating some videos on mastering, it's actually not that hard, I really worry about this automated mixing and mastering paradigm that is popping it's head above the precipice.

Apart from that, Sonar seems to keep delivering the goods.  The rolling updates, and even the rent to buy paradigm seem to be less of a headache than I first thought it would be.  I don't mind paying 17 bucks a month for Sonar Platinum.  I haven't used much in the way of the new stuff, but it's nice to know that it's there...the reset mix was handy and also the vocal align, actually the vocal align is sweet.

Anyway Peace and Love Neb

For some reason, I resent that statement. Just can't put my finger in why!

Noel gave the angle that instead of letting it dictate your mix, look to see what it is doing and see if you can use anything to learn from.

the thing they havent taken into consideration is over shoots (intersample peaks) with any conversion after limiting, like src/mp3, up loaded a test mix and the over shoots after src and mp3 conversion was +1.3 dB above zero, e-mailed and told them so, get an e-mail back with tips saying that i should lower the volume of my mixes to address to problems i just noted (not in those words tho) lol they still have alot to learn

And it rocks. May be one of the nicest plugins we've done.

I don't understand the problem with the ProChannel EQ, you can simply collapse it if not in use and it doesn't take up much room. The whole point of that EQ is that it's "built in" to the strip just like the EQ on a console strip. And it's also a great EQ, even if you use other EQ's for character, it's great to always have it there to make cuts.

I wasn't actually criticising the Pro Chanel EQ...in fact it is my mastering EQ, at least until I have a look at The Abbey Road passive EQ. I think the Pro Channel EQ though, is the bomb.  If the newbs want to understand EQ, then use this as a learning device.

My actual problem is not being able to remove it, Aspergers...it's just unsightly and annoying when it's not in use...you have to keep moving it in the chain. Yea I know, "issues" lol.
