Greetings!
Little question, please:
Is there a way to alter the way the grid looks? I always end up not using it because when I display it I find it very tiring to look at. I guess it's a combination of the horizontal and main vertical lines that are very bold, big and look like they have a bevel. That, combined with the dots that tell you there is stuff on that track (useful, but.. is there a way to hide them?), make for a very cluttered workspace. There is so much going on visually that it's very tiring to look at, especially in big projects. Also, when you zoom out the beveled lines are almost overpowering the tracks' boundaries (and it looks like a tiled bathroom wall :) )
I guess my question is: is there a way to make the grid look more subtle?
Is it just me or do some of you feel the same about it?

thanks, have a nice one!

As a start, you could try:
Track View > View > Display > Vertical Grid Lines > "None" or "Behind Clips".

Best,

... and you can change the color of the grid lines:
Preferences > Colors > All Colors > "Vertical Beat Lines".

I have the "Display Track Separators" option (in View > Display) disabled, because the separators are too bold for my eyes. I instead adjusted the background colors of odd and even tracks in Preferences > Colors > Clips Pane > View Background (odd) and View Background (even).

Also, the color of the dots can be changed in Preferences > Colors > Clips Pane > Clips Pane Ellipse.

Dear icontakt.

You, Sir, are an absolute genius!
Thanks so much fir your help.
Sonar is such a deep program that one can get lost in all the options.

Have a fine day!
