Yes, indeed, a very cool feature.
NOW!
Could anybody show that video SLOWER?
Could I find that explanation in some documentation?
That video reminds me some movie advertisement.

How do I get pitch bend data to transfer with it. Studio 2 used to allow it, but I never had it to try. I've brought Studio 4, and tried it, but nothing showed in the even list, but the note and velocity data.

What am I missing, or is this no longer a part of Studio?

Say , That is a nice little video .
I think it would have been nice to let folks know that converting audio to Midi  also works very good with converting Analog Bass parts to Midi Bass Parts
In addition to that , most folks may not be aware that they could also use this feature to  help them transcribe music they may be looking to learn VIA SONAR's audio to midi conversion .
Also , In addition to that  , if one is so inclined they can also take much of the 3 rd party loop content that came with  SONAR in their audio library , or any 3rd part stuff and do that sort of conversion to give it a new lease on Life

Again, would this still work for polyphonic material if you only have the Melodyne Essential version that comes with Sonar?  My gut says No!

It won't hurt to try, you might get something useful. It will not break anything and will create MIDI data. It will not be able to differentiate individual notes from polyphonic material though.

I would have already done that but I have full versions of Studio 4 installed and Not Essential. It is just a curiosity to me and it would not be worth the time to go through the process of changing things. I did figure that someone with Essential, only, might chime in.

Again, it is just a curiosity if Sonar has some 'Magic' power to do this. Heck, I still believe they have a hidden 'Talent' button buried in there somewhere...

If you have Studio, to see what Essential would do, set the algorithm in Melodyne to one of the non-polyphonic settings. It will work just like Essential.

I have just the basic M...Essential that came w X3 ..haven't even upgraded to the version that came with Manchester yet .

IMHO , a lot can be done even in Essential as a monophonic audio to midi conversions in SONAR ...
Half the midi in this tune started out as simple audio guitar parts that I played monophonic on my guitar while playing to the track and then I converted them to midi by sliding the audio part to the midi  track that had a synth on it ....
The rest , all the polyphonic midi was done w an app that I use called Midi Guitar by Jam Origin ...

I'm not looking to push my tune here , I'm trying to be helpful .
The simple fact of the matter is at least half of this song was done using the monophonic audio to midi conversion in SONAR ...

dig or not dig ..that's how it was done
