Is this a quick Export or a normal Export? I had a drop out problem when I normaly bounced (quick bounce unticked) Then I used quick bounce and all worked fine. Dont know if this helps though.

So,Ijust made the change again and on playback as intended.

On export it gets weird.

Mad things happen to the WAV thats been imported....So, surely th finger is pointing to the export function and some kind of data stamping on the wavs imported?

By way of diagnosis, can you check the properties of the two clips to see the actual filenames? I understand you are importing the same file more than once, and expect it to get copied by Sonar into separate (identical) files. Another thing to check, I suppose, is that the copies are not corrupted.

Is it really export that messed up? I.e. did the edit points, fades, etc. on the timeline stay good, but export messes up? Real-time vs. fast export?

I think he was just kind of laying out that he had some frustrations about some weirdness - and it was just to get it off his chest or out of his head.  I don't get the feeling he was/is interested in debugging this particular weirdness. :)

To the OP - folks were just trying to assist - hope that never happens again to you :)

Maybe a blackhole forum would help? Where you can post post whatever you want and no one can ever read it?

I fixed it. There was a bizarre bug with edits. I have no idea why but I joined up all my edit clips and made it into one long clip (across one particular track), exported and it was fine.

Just another annoying day in the office (although it doesn't happen all the time)

When these things happens I just put it down to an overload of the Sonar system, its too hard to trouble shoot given the amount of edits, fades and thousands of tiny microscopic nuances in the project. BUT when it does happen I feel the need to vent to fellow Sonar enthusiasts. I cant be positive ALL the time.
