Something weird is happening!

Whenever I click on the time ruler in staff view, instead of moving the now time marker to that point as usual it selects from where I click and when I hold the mouse button down it scrolls and selects as it does so. It is incredibly annoying as I am unable to move the now time to the middle of a bar to paste something there.

Please help - I've been using cakewalk for years and it's never done this before.
Many thanks!

I wonder if you ever found a solution for this?   I have just upgraded to Sonar Professional from Sonar 8.    I have always navigated around in staff view by clicking a "now" time on the time ruler.   No matter where I position the mouse on the time ruler all it will do is select a whole section  without changing the now time.   I have to be in between the loop markers for the down arrow to work at the top of the ruler but nothing I do will allow me to select a "now" time.   I can't keep jumping back and forth from track pane to staff pane to get a new now time.  Very frustrating and no threads out there seem to have the answer.

Amazing!  As soon as I posted the above thread I discovered the possible answer.  It must be a quirk in the program.   If Staff is in the multi dock or floating over my track view in the left monitor I cannot select a now time on the staff time ruler.  The moment I float staff view in my right monitor away from track view on the left it allows me to select a now time on the staff time ruler.   This is really weird to me.
