Free melodyne update?

I cannot get rid of the $99 they want to bill me. I see no option for getting the version I am entitled to in melodyne's servers.

Login to your account with celemony and you should see the free download. If you have not registered the serial number in your cakewalk account, on the celemony site under "add license" enter it.

I think I see the problem - before Melodyne was part of Sonar, I had purchased Melodyne Editor, and Melodyne REALLY wants me to update that for $99, to the extent that I'm not seeing M Essential and it's update.

That does make a difference. The free update is Essential to Essential 4. If you are interested in upgrading Editor check out this thread http://forum.cakewalk.com/FindPost/3351789

I upgraded Essential to the Assistant version just before the update came along. I then updated my Assistant to version 4 without too much issue (I had some trouble with authorization, but some help from Celemony fixed that).
