  • What will Sonar look like in another year or two... or 3... some questions

If there are 10 more Pro Channel modules, 10 more expansion packs, 3 Turtle doves...  the CCC will take a weekend to load and selecting PC modules will need a caucus (new word...eh??).

But you get the idea.  Will there be an option to delete items in "lists" you don't want, so as not to have to scroll thru them, to get to the gold??...  Any rate... good "problem" to have....if it could be called such.  Sometimes a lean, mean fightin' machine fits the ticket.

From within Cakewalk command centre, you right click on an item  and select "Hide this item".  If you go into your settings for the Cakewalk command centre you can see a list of hidden product (and unhide them if necessary)

As long as Sonar is a DAW for all conceivable users, it's going to appear bloated to some. You use what you need and ignore the rest. As long as it works, everyone's happy. And it mostly works.

If that helps CCC load faster, sounds like a good idea.  I'm talking more about what is installed in Sonar.  But is sounds like I'm griping about having too much to choose from...say like a ProChannel module, etc.  Nah...   But at some point, I can see Cakewalk addressing this subject.

It will float in front of you wherever you go in holographic splendor.

We'll probably be standing inside it.

Wasn't one of the weird newfangled thingies being touted in Win10 "holographic interaction"? Like you toss on some Google Glass type device then you end up in an interactive 3D virtual environment?

Seems a little wanky and probably won't work all that great at first but it'd be kind of cool reaching out and slapping waves/clips around or tweaking a holographic mixing console.

I'd much prefer that than rubbing my greasy mitts all over a touchscreen. lol

I wonder what the "Clean Audio Folder" utility looks like from inside?

With any luck it will be Open Source.
Then I can fix the bugs that hold me up.
