After the update I opened a project and found my audio interface missing. (UA-25 EX). Checked Preferences and it wasn't there.

Rebooted and everything was fine. Closed that project, opened another project and had the same issue. Audio Interface not found. Tried to run a synth in standalone and got no sound.

Not sure what the issue could be. I made no other changes to my system nor did Windows update make any.

I have to re-boot after every attempt to "find" the interface.

Any ideas?

Still running Win 7 Pro x64.

is it showing up in the system tray (i.e. does it work for playing other audio?) The only time this has happened to me was due to a dodgy usb connection

Thanks. The icon is there and SOME instruments were playing in standalone. (FM8 & Aria). Other were not (Dim, Rapture Amplitube). I looked and a few other threads in here and went back and re-booted to try a few things and after that everything worked fine. I couldn't even lauch the ASIO panel to check sanple rate etc.

Ghosts in machine. It really bothers me when a problem corrects itself and there's really no interventtion on my part.

I have the UA-25EX, move from Manchester to Newthingypop was seamless.

Did you plug your interface into a different USB port? It then says it cannot find it and you have to just ignore that, then, when the project is up, go into Preferences > Midi and re-tell it which port your interface is on.
