Hi,
Please excuse what may be a bit of a dumb question but is it necessary to retain all the download files in their default location ?  I'm running Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit with a default location here :-

C:\ProgramData\Cakewalk\Command Center\Downloads

I need to free up a bit of space on my C drive and moving the 53GB contents of this folder to my back-up drive would do the trick nicely !

Thanks,

Bob

They may be deleted. If the Command Center ever needs a file and cannot find it locally, the Command Center will download the file again.

The location where the Command Center stores the files may be changed in the Paths tab on the Command Center Settings page. Click the gear in the upper right of the Command Center to access the Setting page.

Thanks for the reply, that's great, answers my question quite nicely.

I just occasionally move them off my SSD drive to my hard drive. If you ever need to reinstall or rollback then you just move the files back where they were first. Saves time re-downloading.

I'm a bit of a file hoarder so I keep everything. However I keep the CCC download folder on another drive specifically used for all program files that date back over a decade. CCC is pointed to that folder. The beauty is that my laptop has access to the same folder so I only ever download one time but can install on both devices.

The thing is, I want to but you don't have to.
